The grant opens July 1 and closes July 28 2026, with funds going to the first 500 clubs to apply successfully.

Is Your Club Eligible for the 'Game On' Grant?

You're Not-For-Profit

You are a not-for-profit, community-focused sports club affiliated with a recognised state or national sporting body such as your state's football or cricket association or bowling federation.

 

Not a Gaming Venue

Your facility is not primarily a licensed venue, RSL club, or gaming/poker machine venue: the grant explicitly excludes areas used for licensed bars and gaming machines, although other areas - such as carparks for solar car shades - may be fine.

Club Structure

Your club is structured as a company, incorporated association, cooperative, or indigenous corporation NOT an unincorporated association, sole trader, or partnership.

Community Sports Focus

Your facilities are used to deliver sports at the grassroots community level, as opposed to being primarily a licensed bar or restaurant.

ABN & Bank Account

You have an ABN and an Australian bank account.

Compliance

You do not have outstanding compliance issues with previous Commonwealth grants, nor are you on the Workplace Gender Equality Agency non-compliant list.
